The VERONEX range, available in 5 different plan sizes and 9 heights, is manufactured in UL94-V0 flame retardant ABS. The enclosures boast an attractive, lightly textured non-scratch finish which has been achieved using a unique chemical etch process. A selection of quality accessories ideally suits VERONEX enclosures to a wide variety of OEM and consumer electronics, electrical and Telecommunications applications.

Veronex Hand Held Cases:

The VERONEX hand held range have been designed for a variety of portable applications including data acquisition, field test and measurement. The size 1 units, are supplied with the belt clip fitted as standard, but do not have a LCD cut out or recessed area for membranes. Unique to the two larger units are the top covers which feature a recessed membrane keypad area designed to accept a 74mm x 40mm (size 2) or 96mm x 60mm (size 3) membranes and an LCD cutout to accept meters and displays – see page 11 for details. The size 2 units will accept a 40mm x 20mm LCD (viewing area 31 x 14mm) and size 3 will accept a 60 x 30mm LCD (viewing area 47 x 18mm).

Veronex EMC Case:

The Veronex Instrument case with EMC screening has been introduced to meet the increased demand for EMC RFI protection from potentially damaging E and H field interferences.

The mouldings have been coated with a copper silver conductive finish and this finish has been extended to the interior faces of the enclosure joints and can be added to the end panels if required after machining for I/O. The unique design of the end panel retention system also provides excellent connectivity as well as a convoluted path for emissions ensuring a high level of performance.

The standard enclosures available offer a range of styles and sizes and can be fitted with plastic or metal end panels as well as battery compartment and accessories.

Vero Technologies is continuing to work with a specialist OEM to offer additional finishes that can be applied to further enhance the product performance as well as offer EMC RFI protection over transparent end panels and LCD windows.

Veronex Case with Membrane Top

Vero Technologies has introduced a new size of its popular and stylish Veronex hand-held case family, sized to accept today’s industry Character and Dot Matrix standard display modules. The maximum viewable width of the display is 70mmwith an 82.5mm PCB, enabling the great majority of units from the leading manufacturers to be housed. The new hand-held unit measures 150 x 90 x 30 mm the top cover is furnished with a recessed area to accept a 70 x 137 mm membrane keypad.

Two plastic end panels, held in place without fixings when the unit is assembled, provide I/O facilities at each end of the enclosure. The internal fixing pillars are placed as wide as possible to give maximum width end panels so accommodate a large number of i/o connectors.

Veronex IP - 64 Cases.

The VERONEX IP64 range is available in 4 plan sizes and 9 different heights. The enclosure is a simple two part construction with plastic end panels which are readily push fitted between two ribs in the case moulding. This, together with the tongue-and-groove joint which connects the two covers, achieves the IP64 seal against the ingress of dust and water.

First Digit – solid matter
0 = No protection
1 = Protected against solid objects up to 50mm2
2 = Protected against solid objects up to 12mm2
3 = Protected against solid objects up to 2.5mm2
4 = Protected against solid objects up to 1mm2
5 = Protected against dust – limited ingress permitted – no harmful deposit allowed.
6 = Totally protected – no ingress allowed

Second Digit – Water
0 = No protection
1 = Protection against vertically falling drops of water (example, condensation
2 = Protection against direct sprays of water up to 15 degrees from vertical.
3 = Protection against direct sprays of water up to 60 degrees from vertical.
4 = Protection against water sprayed from all directions - limited ingress permitted.
5 = Protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions - limited ingress permitted.
6 = Totally protected – fully immersed to a depth greater than 2 meters.
