| Options Prototyping Board Modules are designed to be used with the Vero ‘Options' development boards combining the ease of use of the Vero square pad design with modern I/O connector systems. The modules are produced using simple double sided PTH PCB techniques for low cost and are scribed to enable the desired module to be snapped off the 7 board set for use. Like the prototyping boards the modules are finished in gold flash to further reduce costs but provide good solderability and shelf life. The connector profile is tracked out to pads / holes to enable the use of pins or hard wiring for connection. The modules are locked into the Options Board using custom lock mouldings supplied with each square pad board. The lock mouldings provide a firm retention of the module in the same plane as the prototyping card. This enables the assembled cards to be inserted into conventional racks and chassis as well as used on the development bench when completed. The lock is held in place using press fit plastic rivets or can be fixed using a simple nut and bolt if required. | |||||||||||||||||||
The initial modules available will be supplied as a 7 way board set and currently includes the following connector patterns: USB type A, USB type B, D Sub miniature 15 way, D Sub miniature 25 way, D Sub miniature 37 way.
